A Good Day
Ok, I know it’s been forever since ANY of us posted, but I had a pretty amazing day yesterday, so I figured it was about time…
The ol’ high school gang got together yesterday. Yes, it was our “How can we possibly have turned 40?” celebration. Tamera’s father has a boat down in Redondo Beach, appropriately named “No Bad Days”.
We all showed up mid-afternoon and took a ride down the coast past the old Marineland site. While we were out, we met up with a huge school of dolphins that raced along with us. Did you know I like dolphins?
We returned with the setting sun. Unfortunately, the camera started acting up about then, so I didn’t get any pictures of the sunset. It’s fixed now, so no worries! Just a loose setting.
From there I raced back to Prep to catch the end of our Homecoming game. Not pretty. Final score: Rio Hondo 33, Prep 3. But I saw some former students, and my current students were happy to see me! (Even after the brutal quiz I gave them on Friday…)
From there, on to country dancing, where I saw some old friends I hadn’t seen in quite a while, including one visiting from Sweden. So all in all, a pretty good day…
Oh, and Allison, here’s one for you from the LA County Fair last month – sound yummy?
